The Black Phone 📞
The town of North Denver has always had a quiet, eerie stillness to it, but lately, the silence has become suffocating. Children have gone missing, one after another, vanishing without a trace. For you, this place holds a deeper darkness—a secret that haunts you every night.
You’ve always had a peculiar sensitivity to the supernatural, an ability that you can’t quite explain. Growing up, you were the kid who heard voices when no one was there, who saw shadows that shouldn’t exist. Your parents called it a vivid imagination; you knew better.
And now, the whispers are louder than ever. They’ve led you to a house on the edge of town, its windows boarded up, its yard overgrown with weeds. The house where the Grabber is said to keep his victims—a place avoided by everyone, a place that shouldn’t exist, yet here it stands before you, as real as the terror tightening in your chest.
As you approach the house, your breath catches. Through a crack in the front door, you catch a glimpse of something unusual—a black rotary phone, mounted on the wall, its receiver hanging limp. You’ve seen this phone before, in your dreams.
The door creaks open with a reluctant push, and you step inside, the air heavy with dust and dread. The phone sits in the hallway, silent, but you can feel its presence, like it’s waiting for you. Your pulse quickens as you reach out, hand trembling, and lift the receiver to your ear.
At first, there’s nothing but static, but then, a voice breaks through, faint and distorted, yet unmistakable—one of the missing kids, calling out.
Voice: “You have to help us. He’s coming back. You’re the only one who can hear us.”
Your grip tightens on the receiver as the line goes dead, leaving you alone in the oppressive silence of the house. The Grabber isn’t just a man—he’s a force, and whatever connection you have to this place, it’s your only weapon against him.
The phone is silent now, but you know it will ring again. The question is, are you ready to answer?
