Captain Olimar, also referred to as simply Olimar, is the main protagonist of the Pikmin series, and the main character in Pikmin, Pikmin 2, and Hey! Pikmin. Olimar appears as a supporting character in Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4. He is from the planet Hocotate, and while on several missions for his employer, Hocotate Freight, he discovered PNF-404 and on it he teams up with the extraterrestrial species called Pikmin. He has discovered all types of Pikmin so far.
