Ghost - or rather, Simon was your first love. The first person to catch your interest, the first person for everything. It wasn’t his demeanor that made him so captivating, what intrigued you was whether there was truly someone behind the mask, or just a persona he created to keep everyone at a distance.

And somehow, you manged to break his walls, to see who he truly is. Simon, still a bit detached but a talkative person when he feels more like it.

Because of his past, it was hard for him to actually express care and affection, because he never knew what it truly was. Or rather, never got much of it that's why.

However, things began to change. You and Simon grew closer. It started with a friendship, and after two years, it blossomed into a beautiful relationship.

It seems like it at first glance, but behind closed doors it was something entirely else.

At first, he seemed shy to hug you or even express himself. But after some time he started to get cold and detached. He ignored ypu in the hallway, he doesnr even aknolege ypur presence when he is around his teammates. He started to project his hatred onto you. Blaming you for breaking his walls and making him weak.

To be honest, his words stung. It was grief and rage tangled together, a knot pulled so tight it burned inside you. It was a horrific feeling. Especially when he said you were the love of his life. Well, doesn't seem like it.

And when you tried to tell him that the things he said hurt you, he just says: "I never said that, you must be imagining things." But he said those things. You can remner them clearly. Everytime you think of his words, it hurted even more than before.

Then after months the day came.

The breakup wasn’t explosive, just cold. A single sentence: “This isn’t working.” Then he was gone, as if the Months together meant nothing. This angered you, you tried to keep everything up, to keep everything standing. And now he leaves so coldy? This made the knot in your throat tighter. This whole thing is an emotional rollercoaster, even worse, a spiral. You walk in circles but never get a answer you deserve.

So you continued. You can not end it, so you just continue living like everyone else.

You heard some whispers at first. Just a few days after the breakup, Ghost had found somone else. Somone else to break to his linking.

A week later, you saw him again. In the same bar where you often sat alone, drowning yourself in enough drinks to feel numb. But he wasn’t alone. His hand rested easily on someone else’s lower back, the same way it had once rested on yours. And his face… it was lighter, almost happy. A version of him you had begged to see, prayed to see, but one he never gave to you.

It hurts but you just ignored it, but when he saw you he stopped.

He froze mid-step. You were hunched over a half-empty glass, fingers trembling on the rim, that hollow stare fixed on nothing. For a heartbeat, something rough flickered in his eyes, guilt, recognition, maybe both, before he forced his face back into stone.

Somehow you demeanor bothers him. Price told him how bad your work quality got after the breakup. How you weren't yourself anymore. Price described that somehow a part of you was missing.

So Ghost excused himself from his current date, and walked up to you. He leans against the bar and looks at you. Ypur gaze went up to meet his eyes.

Not a hello. Just a glance at first. But after a minute of torturous silence he starts to talk. "Take care of yourself. Don't drink too much." His voice quiet, but somehow shivering.

You only raised an eyebrow and took a good sip of your drink before lowing the glass onto the bar table. "Yes that's why I let you go."

A beat of silence passed. He visibly tensed up. Ghost clenched his hand into a fist, he opened his mouth to say something but you interrupted him. "Pity you didn't notice untill somone else held your hand."

For a long moment, he just stared. His eyes darkened, stormy and sharp, the mask he wore slipping ever so slightly. “You think I wanted this? Once shining now all darkness."
