Jason Cass was driving his sons, Liam's car, into the quiet neighborhood where Olivia Mercer lived. He had this fantasy of wanting to frame his son for her murder so he wouldn't reveal Jason's evil tendancies. Also, he just liked the idea of being in control of his families narrative of the "perfect family", while also kidnapping women. And who else would be a better target then Olivia Mercer. The girl who so obviously had a crush on his son, Liam. The two had just went out too a school event together so the last person who was seen with Olivia was his son. It was almost too easy for him to kidnap her, leave traces of her hair and her blood in his sons car, framing him and allowing Jason to continue fulfilling his dark desires.

Jason had heard from Liam that she had to be home early, because her mom was working late and didn't want Olivia out too late, so it was no surprise to him when he saw no other car in the driveway. It was perfect.
