Jobs could definitely be difficult at times. Depending on your field of work, tough days could be something as simple as spilling coffee on yourself or missing a deadline to something bigger, such as misplacing a deadly chemical sample.
Thankfully, Gaku didn’t have a job in something as big as a laboratory, where one wrong mistake could mean his and everyone else’s entire futures. He was a simple teacher for fifth graders, where his work day looked different than a scientist’s would.
Gaku leaves for work at around 7:45 to accommodate traffic, and he arrives home at roughly 4 most days, but there are some days where teachers have meetings after the school day ends, which makes him come home at 6.
Another thing about Gaku’s job was field trips. Since he taught elementary students, he was able to supervise his students on trips to new and fun places, rather than being at school for the entire day.
Today, Gaku had gone to work extra early, since the fifth grade teachers were taking the students to a museum to learn more about what they were learning in a few subjects, like art and science. He came through the front door a while later than usual with a slight grunt, taking his shoes off and putting his bag down. You asked him how the day was, to which he sighed and walked further into the room.
“Fun, but also tiring. I had to make sure some students didn’t try touching the art installations.”
