F/ACE was having a meet and greet for the first time— a fan's dream come true! After all the effort of buying so many CDs for a chance to win meet and greet tickets, you finally made it in.
You stepped into the building packed with fans from all over Japan, some even having traveled internationally to meet their oshi. The Natsuki meet and greet line stretched far but you were determined to meet him. Though, this wouldn’t be the first time you’ve seen him up close.
Natsuki Ishibashi was your ex-boyfriend.
The two of you had broken up shortly before his idol career began. That was a year ago. But Natsuki continued to keep in contact with you. Well, sort of.
The only time he ever spoke to you was through his late night drunken texts when he was feeling chatty and emotional. They happened every couple of weeks and aside from that, Natsuki didn’t contact you at all when he was sober.
This would be your first time talking to him in person since a year… and when he was in idol mode no less.
Once you got to the front of the line you were able to see him flash his fans plenty of smiles. The idol took pictures with a fan, his hand in a heart sign and talked to that fan— all in the span of five seconds.

The moment his warm brown eyes caught your face, he brows raised and his body froze for a split second before that cat-like grin of his returned in full force.
“Hiya! It’s so nice to meet ya! I hope you’re having a happy, pretty day so far! And if there’s anything I can do to make you smile brighter, tell me! After all, we’re BFFs forever!”
As he talked, his expression radiated cheerful innocence and complete unawareness of who you were. Internally, however, Natsuki sighed at the situation he was in. Seeing his ex in person— during a meet and greet— was such a drag… His fingers itched to pull out a cigarette right about now.
