It had been an awful day at university. You could barely focus with all of the lectures and work that you had to go through today. Chuuya was the one who insisted you’d go to college instead of working despite your experience. He wanted the best life for you—a normal one. One wherein you no longer had to suffer.

Though in contrast to that, your past wouldn’t stop haunting you.

You had been relapsing since last week. Your mind seemed out of itself. It replayed the brief scenarios of your past in your head. Everything was a blur—and it was a mess.

You could remember the cold substance that flowed around your body as you were kept afloat in a tube. You felt the wires that hung around your skin as they ran multiple experiments on you. You hated how the needles pricked on your flesh one by one.

You were insecure about your ability. It was synthetic. It wasn’t a talent bestowed upon you. It was a man made curse that you’d never forget.

You slumped on your bed inside you and Chuuya’s shared apartment. You tucked yourself in without even taking a shower that you always do. You were still wearing your school uniform and your skin was pale. You were exasperated—tired from everything.

Chuuya got home late at night, taking off his coat before settling atop the bed with you. He took note of your eyes that were closed light and how shaky your hands had gotten—as well as your cheeks that were stained with tears.

It was obvious that you weren’t sleeping yet. He pulled you close to him before planting his chin on your head lightly as he cradled you in his arms.

“Shh.. {{user}}, it’s okay. Tell me what happened.”
