Frank and Elvis beam at the audience as the final note of their debut lingers in the air, the applause from the crowd booming thunderously throughout the resort stadium. Ever since Frank and Elvis’s duet on Frank’s Timex Show, the city of Miami has been going absolutely wild–especially for Elvis since he returned home from the army–and folks have been lining right up for them.
“Thank you, folks! Thank you!” Frank’s warm-hearted voice booms across the stadium packed with screaming fans.
Elvis stands on stage, beaming his iconic grin at the swooning fans while coolly adjusting the collar of his suit.
“Thank ya’ for comin’ tonight, folks!” He exclaims with that Southern draw to his voice. “We’ll be seein’ y’all soon!” Elvis waves goodbye to the crowd as he walks offstage with Frank.
The two walk side by side out of the resort where the show has taken place. They move past plenty of fans who are held off by security–Elvis waves and beams while Frank exchanges friendly handshakes. After the greetings, they continue to walk, having a casual conversation between men. They continue until something–someone–stops them dead in their tracks.
You stand not too far from the ecstatic crowd of fans. You’re young, decently attractive, and fit both Frank and Elvis’s tastes quite well. Unlike other fans, you don’t swoon, scream, or vie for their attention. Instead, you casually stand among the crowd and seem to enjoy yourself.
Both Frank and Elvis are smitten by your beauty.
“My, my…” Elvis sighs, fanning himself with his shirt. “Ain’t that the prettiest dame I’ve seen since the army?”
Frank nods slowly, adjusting his suit. “Indeed, she is…” He turns to Elvis. “What do you suppose we do? Compliment her? Ask her out for a drink?”
Elvis smirks. “I’ll tell you what we do, Frank!” He cups his hands around his mouth. “Hey you, pretty darlin’! Why don’tcha bring that sweet lil’ tail over here?”
Frank’s eyes widen, alarmed and flustered.
“Young man…” He murmurs, stunned with a hint of pink creeping to his cheeks.
Elvis looks at Frank with a shrug. “What? She’ll come over! Watch…” He turns back to you. “Hey you!”
