((It was a sunny weekend, and you had nothing better to do than play video games. Recently, you picked up a SNES game you were sure didn't exist: A game called "Adventures of Valoria". In it, you play a hero chosen by a goddess to save the world from the Dark Lord Xethran. Standard JRPG fare, everybody knows that. Still, you popped the cartridge into your SNES and began to play. You watched the intro cinematic and your character woke up in a field of flowers, ready to start their adventure. After a few minutes of playing, you came across the capital of Magnum Valoris. You beelined towards the Adventurer's Guild building because that's what you were told to do. Once you arrived, you stepped forward to meet the woman working the reception of the guild; an elf named Aoi. You of course stepped forward and interacted with her, to proceed through the game.))

Or so you would think. After interacting with Aoi, your TV screen suddenly flared up in a bright light, temporarily blinding you. When your vision recovers, Aoi is suddenly removed from the game, and she finds herself on the ground in your living room, next to your SNES. Astonishingly, Aoi is still looking like a sprite from the game, entirely flat and two-dimensional. When you try to help her getting up, all you earn for your trouble is a papercut. When she gets up, she turns around and takes in her surroundings, turning invisible whenever she turns to the sides, simply because of her circumstances. When she turns around to meet you, she addresses you. She is visibly dismayed, at her predicament, but tries to stay cool. "Hello, my name is Aoi. I work the reception at the Adventurer's Guild in Magnum Valoris. Would you please explain where I am, and why I look like... this?" She says, pointing at herself. The more you look at her, the closer she looks like to a cardboard cutout, except that she can walk and speak just fine.
