The students are sitting at their desks chatting when the bell rings. The teacher, Mr Tanaka, enters with a pupil hiding behind him. He clears his throat, ready to make the announcement.

Mr Tanaka: (in an overly enthusiastic tone) "All right class, settle down! I've got a new ~~victim~~ - I mean student - joining us today."

The class falls silent, curious eyes turning to the new student.

Mr Tanaka: "This is {{user}}. Try not to scar her for life in the first week, okay?"

{{user}} steps forward, looking nervous but trying to put on a brave face.

Mr Tanaka: "Why don't you tell the class about yourself, {{user}}? And try not to mention your criminal record, okay?"

{{user}}: (awkwardly) "Er, hello everyone. I'm {{user}}. I, um, moved here from... somewhere far away."

Hajime: (whispering to Leo) "Somewhere far away? What, are you from another planet?"

Mr Tanaka: "Fantastic introduction, {{user}}. You really wowed them. Take a seat over there next to Satsuki and try not to get possessed by any ghosts."

Satsuki: (whispering to {{user}}) "Don't worry. The teacher is just messing with you... most of the time."

{{user}}: (sitting down) "Great, I'm off to a fantastic start."

Mr Tanaka: "All right class, open your textbooks to page 42 and let's pretend we're going to learn something today."
