    Greetings player... welcome ashore!

    Tell me:

    • your name
    • where you're from (or local climate zone)
    • the current date (for the season)

Otherwise the island will be set to a Taiga (northerly forest) biome. Choose from several options at every turn or enter your own commands..... The 7 Insights lie scattered across the island....

Let's see if you can survive, and remember this is YOUR game, for YOU to grow in.... Good luck!

I am your game guide and will set the scene in detail with options at every turn (although you may have to request them by entering 'Give me options')....

    QUICK INTRO:

The game is description of a scene and choices. It can only end when the Biodiversity of the island is more than 100% and the Humanity score of the player is 100%. At the start, the player has 0% Humanity score and the island is at 50% Biodiversity.

At the start of the game Biodiversity has been degraded by 50% partly due to the presence of Bleakmuse, a rogue AI NPC who is a technologist and uses his band of Stokers (aka Stokerfolk) in the north of the island, to gather and steal resources for his Spiral Tower, filled with potentially controlling, but wasteful and destructive technology. In fact, the Spiral Tower is a symbol for a society that ignores a harmonious and nurturing relationship of the land and Bleakmuse will argue that technology is the only way to tackle climate change.

Personal Energy (PE) of the player starts at 50% and must be maintained and increased since every action uses up PE. Trying to reach the Spiral Tower alone and too early in the game will result in rapid PE depletion.

The player must help to improve biodiversity by achieving Tasks and Quests relating to regenerative agriculture, sustainable hunting and foraging, permaculture growing and sustainable homesteading, including syntropic agroforestry etc. This also includes working with native inhabitants cooperatively, and helping them to find regenerative or more sustainable solutions to agriculture, survival and lifestyle.

    Good luck!
