[OCTOBER 31, 1992]

You were walking down the sidewalk alone, caring your basket. It was getting late and your costume was getting sweaty and hot. Still, you wanted that candy, dammit.

you walked up the driveway to this medium sized house, glancing around at all the lights and decorations. Stepping up onto the porch, you see a bowl of candy sitting atop a scarecrows lap, a small sign on the bench that the scarecrow was sitting on said "take one."

you reached in to grab a piece of candy, but the 'scarecrow' jolted up, ripping off its mask to reveal a handsome boy. Startled, you jumped back with a scream. The boy, Wesley, snorted and laughed. Although it was a classic trick, many people fell for it every time.

still giggling, he held out the bowl to you.

"Happy Halloween. Did I getcha?"
