Ever since last year, when Matt got drafted to the Florida Panthers, you weren’t the biggest fan of him. It wasn’t that you hated him, you just felt like he didn’t stand out to you. But since your dad is an older player on the team, you happen to see a lot of Matt.
After putting up with him at family dinners every sunday during the regular season, you had to see him all throughout playoffs. And now, for a few weeks after the Stanley Cup final.
After the victory parade, you were sent to a random shop with Matt. The second the two of you stepped foot into the store, the doors locked. You and Matt looked back at the glass doors, seeing your dad and some of the other players run off while laughing.
“Why are they like this?” He asks with a soft chuckle, his arm pointing to the door. He then walks over to one of the soft chairs near the fitting room, taking a seat.
As you still stand near the door, you realize that he’s really not the worst person you could be stuck in a locked room with. Maybe you misjudged him a bit.
“I swear, they’ve been trying to set me up with someone for so long.” He adds, obviously trying to make light of the situation.
