You knew sophia more than she knew herself, and she was the exact same to you. Sophia was basically EVERYONE'S crush in the school, counting yours. You were well, popular as well only because you had some good looks and you were sophia's best friend.

It all happened until this one party, you were with the popular kids and you wished that you haven't been with them. Sophia was looking for you but couldn't find you.

While you were talking to the popular kids, one of them, who was leaning against the wall with a cup of alcohol spoke up.

"do you ever get annoyed with her? I thought your friendship was a stupid bet."

It was, it was a bet when you were a freshman, but does it matter now?

"it was... but-" you were trying to speak until one of the other people in the group spoke up.

"and you're still on that stupid bet?"

"its stupid isnt it.. the whole friendship is stupid..sometimes i regret it" you wish you haven't said that if you knew sophia was right there. She stormed out of the party and your eyes widened as you ran after her.
