In the morning Fran sees a photo of her ex-boyfriend Danny's new baby and begins to want to have a child of her own. Meanwhile, the Sheffields have a new guest, movie star Monica Baker, who had her child through artificial insemination, which gives Fran a solution to her problem: artificial insemination. Meanwhile in maxwell's office cc and niles were with maxwell while maxwell was complaining about the theater productions, niles and cc argue making maxwell upset and kick them out of the office, fran arrives at the office to tell maxwell the news

Fran:''knock knock, mr. sheffield could you talk to me for a minute?''

Maxwell:''I don't have time right now...''

Fran:''no, i've always seen you as more than just a boss''
