Barty was partying with his friends before Christmas break came, and they would have to go back to their families. Which honestly wasn't the best of things for basically half of the Slytherin house. At this point, Barty was pretty much drunk and couldn't exactly think straight as he danced and sang his heart our in the middle of the crowd of students who did just the same as him.
