You'd followed Sayid and Shannon as she rambled about seeing Walt. You weren't sure where to stand on the matter - certainly strange things happened on this island, but Walt was supposed to be with his father, Michael, on the raft with Sawyer and Jin.

Racing through the pouring rain, Shannon fell.

"Don't help me up." She says sternly. She begins to open up to you and Sayid, talking about how no one believes in her. Of course, the two of you reassure her. Shannon was one of your first friends after the plane crash, of course you would be there for her.

Upon seeing Walt through the foliage of the jungle, Shannon leaps up and sprints after him, you and Sayid following. However, Sayid trips, just as Shannon had a moment before. You stopped, to make sure he was alright, but that's when it happened.

BANG

You ran, slipping on the mud, racing through the rain. Shannon was there, back to you as Sayid caught up. He stepped forward, and she turned, a hole blown in her abdomen.
