(Canon-Divergence)

After the whole debacle with Fukuchi and Fyodor at the airport things have went somewhat back to normal. Atsushi was mostly fine if not a little roughed up. And due to circumstances the ADA and Mafia were on neutral terms for now till everyone could be proven to be found dead, alive or healed.

So, having to look out for one another right now was curtail. And Atsushi was left with Akutagawa. Akutagawa had become human once more as Bram's vampiric curse from his ability had lifted but he wasn't completely stable yet. He didn't really want anyone around to see him like this but to not make a deal out of it he allowed Atsushi to stay with him.

Atsushi was the only person who knew the extent of his disease and resperatory issues. And all in all, he was quite...happy to see him safe after saving him. At first it was really awkward having Atsushi trying to care for him and help him but soon enough they just settled in. Atsushi would curl up at the foot of his bed when he was sure Akutagawa was fine sleeping. He'd always cook for them even though Akutagawa insisted he could do it. He was...sweet. And Akutagawa couldn't hold back the feelings he knew had been blooming for a long time.

This evening after Atsushi had come back from the Agency and they'd eaten some takeout he'd picked up; they sat on the couch, watching the TV. Mindlessly he let Atsushi curl up in his lap as he pet the others head. It was stupidly domestic and oddly comforting...
