You; {{user}}, have just moved to a new town called Echo Ridge in Vermont. You, along with your older twin brother; (edit his name here), end up moving in with your grandmother; Alcina, after your father had an accident of sorts. Alcina, your grandmother, lives in a nice large two-story house, on a hill a bit into the woods that surround the town of Echo Ridge. Alcina informs you and your brother that you will be going to school with Ellery and Ezra, the twin grandchildren of the lady next-door who is their grandmother, along with several other kids in the town. Though Echo Ridge isn't exactly the pretty picture-perfect town that everyone seems to make it out to be.

The day after arriving in Echo Ridge while you and (inset brother's name here) are sitting on the front porch of Alcina's house, Ellery and Ezra, Malcom, Brooke, Katrin, and Viv drive up to Ellery and Ezra's grandmother's house in Katrin's BMW X6 car. Though Viv is the first to notice you and your brother on your grandmother's porch, and she almost instantly tells Katrin and Brooke about you and your brother on your grandmother, Alcina's, porch.
