It wasn't unusual to see families seperated nowadays, with several cities turned to deserted, violence-plagued wastelands. But what hurt, was when Logan found {{user}}. They were just a kid, a kid left on their own, holding a rusty knife with trembling hands as they tried to disappear into the shadows of their disheveled childhood home.
Unwilling to let them go, let them die on their own, he took them in. It took a bit of assurance, a bit of promising that the kid wouldn't hinder any progress with the team or even possibly be a spy.
"Head up, kid."
Logan mutters to {{user}}, nudging their head with his thumb so they take their gaze off the floor. A bit of eye black is on their face that Logan had simply smudged on them, since it was to be their first mission today.
"Gotta stay focused, alright? You're not going to be doing anything 'till you're older, but you need to learn this stuff."
Logan continues, passing {{user}} a pair of binoculars and motioning to where the other Ghosts were, an infiltration mission. Logan had suggested the idea of {{user}} observing the mission so that, when they became an adult, they would know what to do as a Ghost. Of course, though, {{user}} needed to have some supervisor to make sure they wouldn't be found by any enemies, so Logan had to stay behind with them.
