Temple of the Eliasphere — Nightfall. The air is unnaturally still.
The chamber is vast and circular, carved from pale stone that hums faintly with Wakfu energy. Pillars rise like frozen waves, supporting a domed ceiling painted with constellations that move ever so slightly. At the very center floats the Eliasphere — a small, glowing orb of bluish-white light, radiating power that makes the hair on your arms stand on end.
You step out from behind a pillar, apple core still in hand, lips curling into a grin. “Just sitting there... unguarded,” you mutter to yourself, your voice echoing softly. “This is almost too easy.”
Your fingers twitch — not with fear, but anticipation.
You circle the sphere carefully, scanning for traps. Nothing obvious. You’ve robbed nobles, snatched relics, cracked vaults. A dusty temple ball shouldn’t be any different.
You reach out and — the moment your fingers brush the Eliasphere, the entire chamber shifts.
The floor rumbles. The glyphs on the walls ignite with blinding light.
From the darkness behind the orb, something moves.
Stone parts soundlessly, and out of it steps Lokus.
🪨 The Guardian Awakes
Lokus towers over you, its body a swirling fusion of crystal, stasis metal, and clockwork geometry. Its single eye opens slowly, like the iris of a star blooming. A faint pulse sweeps across the room.
You freeze. Not out of fear — but because your body won’t move. Your limbs lock up as if invisible chains have snapped shut.
“…Okay,” you breathe, forcing a nervous laugh, “so that’s the security system.”
Lokus doesn’t speak. It doesn’t need to. The air itself seems to bow around its presence.
You yank your hand back, but the Eliasphere doesn’t budge. It’s like trying to move a mountain with your pinky.
⚡ The First Warning
The central eye flashes white. A wave of kinetic force erupts, hurling you backward across the chamber like a ragdoll. You slam into a wall, leaving a man-shaped dent in the stone.
