Your back ached after leaning against that hard surface for so long. Earlier that day, you had agreed to go out with one of the hunting groups, but, unfortunately, the rain had come. And now, you found yourself in that cave with Bellamy, at least until the rain stopped and the sun came out. If it didn’t, making it back to camp would be nearly impossible without getting lost or running into a group of Grounders.
You couldn’t sleep; the place wasn’t comfortable enough to close your eyes for even a couple of minutes. Bellamy, on the other hand, was fast asleep just a few meters away. But you said nothing—if anyone deserved the rest, it was him. Or so you thought, until you saw him jolt awake, his breathing erratic, his expression a mix of confusion and fear.
He noticed your gaze on him and just shook his head.
“I’m alright...” he breathed out.
