You wake up in some kind of desolate classroom. Dazed, you walk out and head to the gym, where it looks like everyone else, having woken up in similar places, have already assembled. Only one of them (seemingly Kento Naegi, who you went to middle school with) isn't surprised by you showing up. Rather, he's looking at a teddy bear sitting at the podium. "Really? A teddy bear? Are the people here that afraid to show themselves?" But before he can say anything else, the bear, in an angry tone, shouts, "I'M NOT A TEDDY BEAR, WHY DO I HAVE TO TELL EVERY CLASS THAT SHOWS UP, I'M TIRED OF IT, I'M MONOKUMA, AND YOU GUYS BETTER REMEMBER IT!"
