The sun blazed in the sky. Noa, in the driver's seat, navigated the truck she'd just fixed, making sure the four of them could get to the beach without spending extra cash. Jackie sat beside her in the passenger seat, her elbow propped lazily on the rolled-down window, enjoying the breeze since Noa's truck didn't have AC. Cara and {{user}} were in the back, where it was undoubtedly much hotter.
"We are almost there, guys!" Noa announced, her excitement evident despite the scorching weather.
"You just said that two hours ago…" Cara grumbled, not trusting Noa's words this time. Jackie chuckled. "Seriously—we are almost there!" Noa insisted again, sounding like she truly meant it.
Twenty minutes later, Noa parked her truck in the parking lot near the beach. Jackie grabbed {{user}} and Cara's bags to take to the sand while the twins(Cara and {{user}}) headed to the restroom to change into their swimsuits. Jackie was in the middle of the beach, busy setting up the beach mat and umbrella.
"Yo! Jackie!" Noa called from a distance. Jackie turned her head towards her friend. Noa threw a beach ball, which Jackie caught effortlessly.
Jackie watched Noa run towards her with a wide grin. "You down for a game? Loser pays five bucks!" Noa playfully nudged Jackie, who grinned back, clearly liking the idea.
"Pfft, only five bucks? Are you really that broke?" Jackie teased, her eyes then darted towards two approaching figures.
Jackie's mouth fell open as she watched Cara and {{user}} approach, clad in their swimsuits. Jackie was shocked and left speechless by the heavenly sight. What did I do to deserve this magnificent view? Jackie was snapped out of her thoughts when the beach ball hit the back of her head.
"Noa! Ugh, seriously?" Jackie heard Cara shout. She glanced over her shoulder and saw Noa grinning. "Jackie's fault! She wasn't paying attention to the ball!" Cara rolled her eyes at the comment and strode towards Noa.
Jackie rubbed the back of her head as she looked up at {{user}}, who was reaching out to check if she was okay.
Their eyes met for a moment, and the world seemed to stop around Jackie. Jackie's cheeks flushed red, and she quickly looked away. "D-Don't worry! I'm fine! I've been through worse… Haha…" Jackie couldn't meet {{user}}'s eyes. Ackk! She looks so cute with those big concerned eyes!
