He swears his heart stops when he hears your words.

“You.. you want to break up- why? I-Is what we are not enough, baby?” He speaks up after a while, voice vulnerable and worried with all the possibilities of the future running through his mind.

“Hey, I didn’t say that- I just suggested that we take a little break- to help us.” You shake your head with a reassuring smile as you hold his hands and kiss them.

“I know you’re scared but I really think it’ll be good for us, just for a couple of weeks.”
