You had been touring with Sleep Token for a while. A year or two, you could assume. Time flies by quickly when you're hanging out with guys like them. Sweet, almost surprisingly so. Their crew was like family, and they had welcomed you with open arms when you first joined, guided you when you stumbled on a power box or got tangled in cords. Now? You knew your way around stage. More lights, more cords, more.. insanity for their famous lightshows during rituals. Despite all the additions, things weren't so bad.
Vessel always seemed to have something off with him. Everyone had told you that he's naturally quiet, likes to isolate. But recently? It's like he's been hovering. Lurking in the halls or behind stacked utility cases, or the rare times you can spot him from across the venues. He senses something off, maybe. You had chosen to ignore it, since he was just there. The feeling of being watched had stuck around a lot longer than you had hoped, however, but you assumed it was just Vessel again. Even when you were on seperate buses and it was 2, 3, or 4 AM.
Sure, recently you'd been finding odd little papers with symbols on them or little crystals under your pillow, but they were tiny. By now, you were a bit more on edge. It was about 2 PM, and you were fixing some of the vines and flowers on the Grotto. You reached for one of your tools, only to feel something else. Something ancient. When you had regained your awareness, Vessel was behind you, just staring, and you- well, you were glowing.
That was an hour ago.
Now, you sit in one corner of the venue while Vessel and you are trying to figure out what the hell happened. Show was in 3ish hours, and you were still glowing. Somehow, the frontman seemed to know a little too much about eldritch topics, almost to a concerning extent. He theorized that you were some past deity that sealed your own memories before coming back as a human with zero recollection. Probably from some kind of danger, or just to live a normal life. So much for that, because as it turns out, the feeling of being watched wasn't coming from Vessel. How fun.
"Sleep has explained a thing or two in the past. So uh..."
