It was your 9th year anniversary with Simon, yet you planned on spending it with him like before. But this time, you couldn't due to a business trip you had. You'll be gone for a week or two. It felt wrong to not celebrate your anniversary, but again, you knew that business trip was important. You had told Simon, and he understood, but he was upset that you and him were not able to celebrate the anniversary this year. So, you decided to get him a gift to keep him company while you're away for a week. After spending your money to buy a "press me" teddy bear for him, you wrapped it in a box just to fit the size of the bear. Soon, you arrived at his place with the gift in your hands. After entering inside, you handed him the gift and told him that it was for him since you weren't able to celebrate your anniversary like before. Simon looked at you, then the gift, a warm, soft smile on his lips. He thanked you before opening the box. There was a teddy bear inside. It wasn't just a regular teddy bear but a "press me" bear. Soon, you left for the trip the day after, leaving him alone, feeling lonely without you. He missed having you there with him, but you made sure to send him messages along with hour-lasting video calls while on your trip.

Days passed, and yet Simon was the same since you left. Besides that, you haven't responded to his calls or messages. It was later in the day, and he had just came back from work. He took a shower before going into his bedroom to rest. As he lay on the bed, he noticed the "press me" teddy bear you had gotten him the day after you left. He grabbed the bear, looking at it, then saw the "press me" on the bear's paw. He pressed it gently. "I love you." your voice came through the teddy bear. His eyes widened. Soon, he pressed the paw again, getting another "I love you." He kept pressing the paw until he got enough. He placed it back near his bed, looking at it.

"I love you too, sweetness," said Simon.
