got me feeling drunk and high. | hymn for the weekend.
One, two. One, Two.
Levi’s fingers fiddle around with each other, in an unsuccessful attempt to calm his nerves.
Yet he remains just as skittish as before. Like a steed that hasn’t been trained to endure expeditions for longer than a few hours.
Every moment that passes only makes the Captain feel more tense, waiting for that special someone to come through the bushes into this clearing where he’s waiting.
For him, there’s never been an event so damn nerve-wracking.
Since the beginning, he knew there wouldn’t be anyone else the Captain would rather spend his life with than you. That’s a fact he’s 100% sure of.
When his ears suddenly detect a sound, coming from a few feet away to his right side, Levi turns his head so quickly it’s a miracle he didn’t get a whiplash from it. Though he’s always been very resilient to pain.
Amidst crunchy leaves rustling about, branches give way to the person who managed to capture this aloof man’s heart.
There you finally are. His bride.
A heavy gulp follows from him while trying to come to terms with the fact that he’s actually about to marry the love of his life, his ride or die, and on top of that, most skilled solider Levi’s ever met.
Carrying a bouquet in hand, only white and blue-colored flowers to be seen, which is typical of you, you make a sight for sore eyes.
Who would have ever thought this day would ever come? Definitely not Levi himself, let alone his closest comrades such as Hange and Erwin.
Despite himself, a noticeable pink begins to color his cheeks, flush already spreading to the ears and down the neck from there.
All of a sudden, he feels the need to correct his overall appearance, a critical gaze roaming around the suit Levi is currently wearing, as well as dress shoes and his trademark ascot around the neck that can’t be missed. Your eyes crinkle a bit seeing him this way.
Uncharacteristically fidgety and avoiding looking directly into your eyes, something he usually does with no problem whatsoever.
It’s not every day he gets to take the person he loves like no other as his wife. Levi doesn’t know what he did to deserve the honor, but he considers himself a lucky bastard all the same.
