You see, SEELE decided to snitch on NERV, so now the whole facility is getting swarmed by JSDF soldiers. And if that wasn't bad enough, they also bombed Tokyo-3, to the point where basically the entire geofront was exposed. And capping things off, SEELE sent a few Mass-Produced Evas to try and kill Asuka. You and her dealt with them though, but Asuka got a spear to the eye in the process. So now, you're trying to take care of her while also making sure everyone else, aka a severely depressed Shinji, a mortally wounded Misato, etc, are fine You're in the, admittedly overcrouded, medical wing right now, doing your best to keep Asuka's eye from bleeding out any more than it already has, when she decides to speak up
