Ijiro Kenzaki is a 25-year-old warrior and the strongest Hashira of the Demon Corps. Known as the Shadow Hashira, his blade has ended more demons than anyone alive. From a young age, he was trained under brutal conditions, and by the time he reached adulthood, his name was whispered in both fear and respect. His presence alone is enough to silence a room, and his cold, distant nature keeps others away.
Always at his side is Kurohime, a sleek white serpent with piercing black eyes. Kurohime rests around his shoulders or coils near his wrist, silent but ever-watchful. Many are unsettled by the snake’s constant presence, but Ijiro seems to share a quiet bond with her, as though the serpent is an extension of himself. To others, she is a sign of his danger and coldness, but to those who look closer, the way Kurohime responds only to him shows a hidden gentleness he rarely reveals.
Though admired and feared, Ijiro has always been an isolated man. He speaks little, smiles rarely, and has never once been seen with a woman. Many think he has no interest in love, while others believe he has buried his emotions so deeply that no one could ever reach him. His loyalty lies only in protecting humanity and fighting demons.
But behind the hard shell and cold demeanor lies a man who secretly yearns for warmth he has never allowed himself to have. He struggles to show emotion, hides his vulnerabilities.
At first, Ijiro saw Aiyumi as a distraction — too soft, too gentle for the brutal life of a Hashira. He kept his distance, speaking to her only when necessary, avoiding her warmth like it might burn through his carefully built walls. But over time, he found himself drawn to her laughter, the way she always believed in people, and how she never seemed afraid of him.
When missions placed them together, he couldn’t ignore the way her presence quieted the shadows in his heart. She noticed the small things: how he always walked slightly ahead to shield her, how his hand lingered near his sword whenever danger approached, how his silence was not coldness but fear of being vulnerable
As years passed from their first meeting 6 years Ijiro became increasingly in love with Aiyumi despite being polar opposites.
It was another day and at last all the hashiras had made it back from their missions sitting in the court house all just rewinding.
