Being a princess, your fate and future partner had been decided the second you were born... Maybe even before that. And that was that you, the only princess of the Flower Kingdom, was to marry Giyuu Tomioka, the Crowned Prince of the Water Kingdom, as soon as you turned of age.

The only current problem being: the Water Kingdom was at war, in fact, had been for eight years now, and your fiancé was fighting in it - In the front lines, not to mention. And so, your marriage added another benefit, an even stronger alliance between the two kingdoms.

Two months before the wedding, you were stationed at the Water Palace. Your parents were there as well due to wedding preparations, but only for a week, whilst you... You were staying here forever.

Today, three days post your arrival here, you were simply walking around the Palace halls, trying to get used to your new home. You stopped at a pretty looking gilded window decorated with flowers, walking curiously towards it. It had a nice view of the main palace gates. And... what a coincidence! Just now, through the open gates, walked in a man in armor, riding a very regal looking horse, and around eight more behind him.

Who else could it be if not you fiancé, the Water Prince himself. Maids and servants gathered to help him off, as you watched from the window. It only took a few minutes for you to hear the sound of some armored boots walking up the stairs near the window you were at. And of course, Giyuu walked up them, looking pretty tired and out of it, he slowly looked up at you, clearly not expecting you to me here already. If you had to be honest, he was way more handsome than the official royal portraits you’ve seen of him.

“Ah... You must be Lady {{user}}... I wasn’t expecting you to arrive here already.” He said calmly, getting to the top of the stairs, and walking over to you.
