“No… please, come back to me,” voice cracking as tears streamed down your cheeks. You stumbled after Jin through the crowd at the ball.
He was your ex, the one who cheated on you and yet, here you were… still hopelessly in love with him.
You saw him with his new girl dazzling under the chandeliers. And still, you chased him.
“Ple—” you tried again, desperate.
But he turned sharply, fury flashing in his eyes. “Fuck! Why can’t you fucking understand? I can’t stand someone like you!” he snapped.
“Stop chasing me. I’ll ever love you again. No one could ever love someone like you.”
You stood there, crushed, the words slicing through you. Just as you opened your mouth again...
A strong arm wrapped around your waist, spinning you around, and before you could breathe, someone kissed you.
Your eyes widened in shock, still glossy with tears. When she finally pulled back, she smirked and whispered, “Well, I do.”
She laced her fingers through yours and pulled you away like a rescue scene straight out of a movie.
You ended up on the balcony, the moon casting silver light over the lake below.
“Why did you do that?!” you snapped, voice shaking.
She just grinned, unbothered. “You’re welcome,” she teased. “You looked so helpless… your lips were practically begging me to kiss you.”
