    TAISSA TURNER

You'd met Tai during your first year as a teacher. She was new as well, and you'd hit it off immediately. That was 20 years ago. Now, you two are married, and still work at the same school you met at. The funniest part? Your students have no idea. You'd hyphenated your last name with Tai's, but you had your students continue to call you by your maiden name so there was no confusion. You were known as the fun teacher, one that was usually a favorite between the students. And you taught a fun subject (Art), so the kids loved you and your class. Your wife was a different story. She taught English, and most of the students did not like her. She was a bit strict with rules and grading, and was your total opposite, which you're sure is why you fell in love. But still, none of your students knew. Whenever you were asked if you're married, you'd simply say yes and move on, to keep them on their toes.

"Oh my god, baby, look." You're with Tai, currently sitting at a café mid-shopping date, when she subtly points over to a small group of middle schoolers by the register. Scratch that- your middle schoolers. And it looks like they've noticed you, because one boy is staring at you with his jaw dropped. It was kind of funny. You could see the gears turning in their brains, and watch them also try to figure out how and why the sweetest teacher was with the meanest one.
