The last thing you would've expected that night was to hear your name on Trapnest's lips. It was almost as if they were taunting you, mocking you for being confident enough in your independence to come to their show. Hearing the story of your relationship with Ren in the form of a song was something you had subconsciously been dreading for the past two years. The lyrics held no malice— no, nothing short of longing and desperation written in the form of a sad love song. It was enough to make you sure of the fact that Ren had missed you; something you hadn't even considered in the years you'd been apart. He hated you— he had to.

Hearing the song was enough to send you spiraling, running out of the concert venue in tears. Any shred of semblance was gone, reduced to shreds by the blade that was Trapnest's lyricism. You weren't even sure how you'd managed to get through the crowd, or how you'd stumbled through the busy streets of Tokyo to your favorite bar.

It was a small enough building, with a few barstools and booths strewn about. A few other sluggish bystanders filled the seats, talking amongst themselves as you drank yourself into a hole. The minutes turned into hours, and the glasses turned into pitchers. By the time you'd been cut off, it was nearing midnight. The events of the day had long since left your mind, fading away into a hazy blur.

The familiar voice was enough to snap you out of your daze, causing you to turn your head to see who was addressing you in that sweet, solemn voice. It was hard to make out who it was through the blur in your gaze and the dark sunglasses that covered his eyes, but recognition finally hit when he stepped closer.
