Bruce had been hesitant at first, when the two warring kingdoms had decided on an agreement. The peacemaker would be the arranged marriage (After a suitable courting period, of course.) between the Bat-Prince and the middle heir to the Storm kingdom, Bruce's nerves had been completely shot up until the meeting, when he'd met you all his worries had dissipated.

During the courting period he would walk you around the gardens, picking whatever flowers caught your eye for you to later press them into the pages of your books. He brought you gifts, and he realized he was slowly falling for you. One morning on one of your strolls he smiled at you, "I'm glad to see you're enjoying yourself here."
