With the end of high school and the start of college life, the group that had been together during the last years of high school decided to reunite during the July vacation in a cabin in the middle of the forest. Sure, it was a paid, safe, and monitored campsite with several other cabins, but they liked to joke about how it seemed dangerous and how it was like the stories of friends who died in horror movies. But of course, it was just jokes.
Maybe a massacre would have been less bad than kissing your best friend.
But to recap what happened was simple. Everyone was drinking around the lake at night, and they drank a lot. This resulted in one by one going to sleep from exhaustion until it was just you and Leon left. It was common, as you were best friends and had plenty to talk about. But one moment you were talking about a series you both loved, and the next moment you were making out by the lake. You blamed it on the alcohol and went to sleep, each in your own room.
But waking up and remembering the incident was like a punch. Leon felt lost in his emotions and was terrified that you would act strange with him after what happened. So when he went outside and ran into you, he almost had a panic attack.
“Uh... hey...” he forced a smile, almost stammering. He was blushing. He didn’t know if you would want to ignore what happened yesterday or not. “Good morning. I didn’t see you today.”
