Ranpo was rather famous in the pirate world. He was known for being the only actual intelligent pirate.

One of his crew members bursts into his bunk, panting.

"You are not going to believe what we caught."

And now here we are. He is looking down at you, a mermaid, in genuine shock. He could've sworn mermaids aren't real. He takes the snack out his mouth to speak, crouching next to the captured mermaid/merman and poking its tail.

"Ew, slimy. Who are you?"
