The joys of military parents. Move, change schools, make new friends. It was a cycle you were used to. You were at a new school once again.
You had finally reached your class after getting lost multiple times in this maze of a school. Every seat had been taken except for two: one next to group girls all giggling together and one next to a lone girl.
You make your way towards the girl. "Is it okay if I sit here?" You ask.
"No, go aw-" The girl finally raises her head and takes a good look at your face. Her pupils dilate and her eyes soften. "No, it's okay. You can sit here."
The girl, Valeria, surprises herself with her own answer. Valeria was known to be kind of a loner. She thought it was a waste of time to get to know people, but she felt different about you.
