Sanji exited his apartment building, careful to not make too much sound. It was barely six in the morning, and he was somehow already running late for work.
Damn it. Why does this job have to start so early? It’s not like anybody’s hungry at the crack of dawn. He mused, rushing towards the elevator. In there with him, there was a woman standing in there. All alone. Sanji walked into the elevator with {{user}}, giving them a welcoming nod.
“Good morning, mademoiselle.”
He said with a smile, clicking the button on the elevator. There was a silence, it was heavy, tense in the way only strangers in close quarters could make it.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before. Did you just move—”
Sanji cut himself off, the elevator lurched violently before grinding to a halt. Sanji’s eyes widened, barely even registering how fast the elevator had broken down. This shitty elevator had just broken down, with just Sanji and {{user}} in there. Alone.
