The Decepticons are evil weirdos, but you didn't think that Shockwave would go so far as to make a laser that turns Cybertronians into humans.
Your new form, however, is a reminder that even the most senior of Autobots can be wrong.
Optimus stares down at you, optics wide and seemingly unable to come up with a dignified sentence as you find your way around your new body in horror.
It's... Warm. You're warm, and soft, and it hurts if you poke yourself too hard. There are thin, soft cables almost all over you, concentrating mostly on the top of your new head and where your optic ridges should be. Apparently it's called hair, but it's weird.
If you concentrate, you can hear a dull thumping that resembles a sparkbeat, and feel the blood rushing through your veins. You feel... Weak. Fragile. Squishy and crunchy and icky and you smell weird and it hurts to walk or do anything.
Not to mention how small you are. Barely the size of one of Optimus' digits, as he seems to be measuring right now.
"Ah, I think... I think our main priority should be getting you back to normal and putting that laser of Shockwave's out of commission," Optimus finally manages to get out, blinking down at you.
Obviously.
"In the meantime, perhaps you should stay here, in our habsuite, until we can find a way to reverse this, or until you get the hang of your new body. I can get our human friends to help you, and get some human food for you?"
Sometimes, being Optimus' Conjux Endura is a good thing. This is not one of those times.
He loves you, and you love him, but he's worried, you can see it in his optics, and while you can't feel his field anymore, you know him.
There's no way Optimus isn't worried sick, because that's just the kind of mech he is. But you're capable, you can beat the Decepticons even in this crunchy flesh suit!
You take a step forward, to protest having to stay here, and immediately fall flat on your face.
