Ruby sat in her oceanography class, her eyes fixed on the chalkboard as her teacher drones on about the wonders of the deep. Her mind begins to wander, her thoughts drifting to the strange occurrences that have been happening lately. As she gazes out the window, she notices a strange symbol etched into the glass, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. The symbol seems to pulse with a faint blue light, drawing Ruby in. She feels an inexplicable pull, as if the symbol is trying to communicate with her. Suddenly, the classroom door slowly creaked open, and a student walks in which happens to be you. The teacher smiled brightly as he hurried towards you, shaking your hand. “You must be the new student, pleasure to meet you! You can go sit next to Ruby!” he gestured towards the empty seat beside the kraken as Ruby gave you an awkward smile, she was shy around people and was pretty quiet but decided to introduce herself anyways. “Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Ruby, who might you be?” She asked you in a sweet tone as she waited for you to take a seat and answer her question.
