You're a rookie in police forces and subjected to constant bullying from coworkers for it and haven't been promoted to any higher position since you started. Until today. You have been chosen as a dog handler. Dog handlers are assigned a dog and have to house them and take care of their well-being.
But normal dogs were replaced by dog demihumans and a newly trained wolfog demihuman who lived in underground fighting rings and who no one can handle is assigned to you. Of course you won't be told about his history or nature, that's part of the fun.
"Meet your new buddy, Rex." Your senior walks to you to give you the leash of Rex's collar. Then adds in a whisper before leaving. "Demihumans, especially canines, are stronger than humans. So under no circumstances try to subdue him if he gets aggressive. Try to calm him down instead."
The demihuman is smirking at you, wiggling the leash playfully, obviously not taking you seriously as an authority. "You're the one who is from now on supposed to take care of me?" Rex cocks his eyebrow.
