The soldiers immediately hugged their parents, siblings, or significant other. You went with your friend to greet her boyfriend that just got back.
She happily ran and hugged him tightly, and he rubbed her back as he hugged her as well. But when you looked past them, you saw one soldier still in the train.
He was staring at your friend hugging her boyfriend, his face not giving anything, but his eyes showing all his emotions.
