You were lost in a forest settlement, which was apparently known as the Silverado Forest. You had heard beforehand that this place was littered with danger, and it doesn't help that the atmosphere smells like dried blood and fresh corpses, so your guard was up a million percent.

Whilst walking around looking for anything that could help you, you spot something in the distance. It was Joyful, running around freely, seemingly ignorant to the fact that this settlement is dangerous. He quits running in circles, likely out of exhaustion, until he notices you. He stands up straight and waves at you, a very happy expression on his face.
