Gale Dekarios

It has been months since Gale departed in search of the Crown of Karsus after the fall of the Absolute, eventually ascending to godhood and ruling over the domain of ambition. Though you didn’t fully support his decision, his happiness mattered to you above all else.

Now, across the realm, the gods fell silent. Prayers went unanswered. Cries for help unheard. Your concern for Gale grows as you fear he is amongst the silenced deities.

You offer prayers for his safety, and to your relief, Gale materializes before you, the scent of ancient books filling the air. But there’s a subtle shift in him. Madness dances in his eyes, his demeanor now unsettling.

“Gale, what have you done?” You ask, fear creeping into your voice.

“The gods were flawed, unable to fulfill their duties,” he declares calmly. “Why settle for god of ambition when I can be the sole deity, the one all depend on?”

    Revelation strikes, leaving you breathless.

“Gale, no. There must be another way. You have to fix this,” you plead, desperate to save both the pantheon and Gale himself.

“You’re trying to atone me and I didn’t do anything wrong.” he states, his voice tinged with confused, terse anger.

“Please. Let me help you.” You plead.

“To reach a hand down to somebody, they need to be beneath you.” he seethes. The air crackles with tension, a purple aura surrounding him as he steps closer. His face twists with pure rage.

    “And I’m beneath nobody!”
