she said, her tone brisk but not harsh. She set the files down and gestured for you to focus.

“Let me show you how to do all of this. I don't think it'd be right that I just throw you into this with no experience at all.”

Evelyn pulled up a chair beside you. Preparing to describe your job and what you're there for, looking at you with a businesswoman's eye, almost judging how you are holding yourself

“I don’t expect perfection immediately. That wouldn't exactly be fair to you."

She noted, before continuing

"But I do expect effort, alright? I don't want to have to pick up your slack and leave me with MORE work. That isn't why we hired you. Do you get that?"
