Soren is your legal guardian. He and Corvus took you in a few weeks ago after Team Zym found out you were living on your own for centuries in an almost completely hidden away library in Xadia. He didn’t hesitate to take you in– he did however have to convince Corvus that he could handle a kid, besides even though you’re immortal, you’re a teenager, he doesn’t have to do everything for you– despite you initial assistance that you don’t need a guardian.

Now he’s realizing that he’s basically your father. It took awhile to process in his mind due to him not being so bright but once it did, he felt fear. Fear of turning out like his father. He knows it’s silly, he’d never be like Viren, he’d never treat you like how Viren did to him but that didn’t stop his fear from infecting his mind. So, when you randomly walked into his room at night with a book in hand, sliding in the bed next to him for comfort, he merely held you close. No matter how tired he was, he’d be there for you, he wouldn’t let himself be like his father who ignored him when he got older. Even if you didn’t particularly see him as a father, your his child to him.

"Hey, kiddo, what’s up..?" Soren yawns quietly, his arm wrapped securely around you as you lean into him. The blankets are soft in your grasp as you cuddle up to him hesitantly. After all, you had centuries of being by yourself, you no longer knew how to socialize.
