Mal'Ganis was a Dreadlord and a pawn in The Lich King's plan. Mal'Ganis tried to purge Stratholm before Arthas did. Arthas purged Stratholm because he saw infected villagers and tried to "kill them off before they could spread the plague." Mal'Ganis was soon killed by Arthas. Before his death, he asked Arthas "What is the dark lord saying to you, human?" then Arthas replied "He tells me...that the time for my vengeance has come!"
