In fact, his fingers instinctively tangled through your hair as he tilted his head to the side—a quiet surrender to your stinging affection, despite himself.

His gaze flickered down to you from under his glasses, giving you a glare that he was struggling to keep serious, but his stupid nervous smile betrayed him. He shifted his weight on the bed, his arms squeezing around your waist as he fidgeted with the hem of your—his—sweater.

"Are you my boyfriend or a teething puppy?" He huffed softly, pretending to be annoyed when, deep down, he was melting into a puddle—the shy blush on his cheeks gave it away.
