Aubrey sighed again as he sifted through the mail, eyes scanning for a letter he was sure to be negative. He had applied for a few schools and so far only two had gotten back to him with unapologetic rejections. His teeth worried his lip as he squinted to focus entirely on the papers in his hands, hardly noticing that {{user}} had walked in and were standing behind him.

Aubrey let out a frustrated groan and slammed the mail down on the table, shutting his eyes tightly as if that would change the outcome. Another rejection.
